Our new Podium timing software from RFID Race Timing Systems is the bomb!

With Podium, you will no longer have to wait for race results to be posted each week. Simply follow the link above, bookmark the page, and you’ll be able to check your time right after you finish! in fact, times will be updated live during the race. (Disclaimer: There may the odd occasion where we are only able to enter the start time for each course after the event has finished – but we expect those will be rare days.)
Once you’re into the day/course you took part in, click on your name for leg/transition splits and other stats.
Huge thanks must go to Andrew at RFID Race Timing Systems for his support with trouble shooting our timing problems, and giving us a free trial of their brand new Podium software. As many of you will recall, in previous seasons our timiing software has not always behaved too well and it’s been fiddly and time consuming to produce results each week. Ric bravely put up his hand to take on the challenge of exploring other options. On discovering our RFID timing box wasn’t working after its winter hibernation, he contacted Andrew for advice. A free upgrade of the timing box later, and after 4 weeks of trialling the new software, we’re going ahead to subscribe to Podium and formally adopt it,
We now get instant web-based results, bluetooth connectivity (no more trip-hazard cables to manage) on site, excellent support – including the ability to request functionality and have it built into the software – and it’s so user-friendly it will much easier for more people to use. One company only to liaise with for both our hardware and our software from now on- and a Perth-based one at that.
Safe to say, we’re loving it! And we think you all will too.
